We live in a fast paced world where things are done differently and changes within a blink of an eye. The vanguard of this change is largely as a result of technological advancement and innovations. Africans have not gained global recognition despite the outstanding innovations they have recorded in the technological industry. In fact, the number of tech start-ups is on the increase. Interestingly, African thinkers and innovators have created several tech-products that have simplified many aspects of our lives. Here are some of the innovative tech-products created by Africans;

Calendly: Calendly is one of the most rated global scheduling platforms that makes “finding time” a breeze. Tope Awotona, is a Nigerian and he is the founder and CEO of this powerful company that makes booking appointments easy and stress-free. Personally, this is my favorite online meeting scheduler because of its versatility. It allows you to connect with your LinkedIn and Emails. It has customizable workflows that can be automated.

Mellowcabs: Neil du Preez, a South African and a seasoned entrepreneur is the founder of Mellowcabs, an 100% electric delivery vehicle for the last mile. Mellowcabs are cutting-edge electric pedicabs manufactured in South Africa. I am astonished with this technology because they are manufactured from recycled materials. They have the ability to provide more than 100km of transport per day and they feature high-tech features such as illuminated body panels, Hydrogen fuel cells, on-board tablet computers and so on.

Cardiopad: The cardiopad created by the Cameroonian Arthur Zang is one of the top 7 innovative products from Africa featured on forbes. It is a touch screen medical tablet that enables heart examinations. It allows heart specialists to consult on multiple patients regardless of their location in the country. It is particularly important for remote patients. The most fascinating thing about the app is that it connects the patients data to a National Data Center in the cloud for storage.

Other noticeable and innovative tech-products include:

Mubser: Khalid Shady (Egypt), Utiva: Eyitayo Ogunmola (Nigeria), Wavemobile: Drew Durbin (Senegal), SavvyLoo: Pennine Energy Innovation (SouthAfrica), Jumo: Andrew Watkins-Ball (South Africa), Paysatck: Shola Akinlade (Nigeria), Africa Leadership University: Fred Swaniker (Ghana), Saphonian: Saphone Energy (Tunisia). What other Africa Tech products do you think is underrated. Kindly share your thoughts. Thanks.
